The countdown has begun for the launch Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, as the game is set to arrive in the West on 28 June of this year. That’s right, you’re mere months away from joining Fidel and his friends on a fantastical journey to protect the mysterious Relia.
In addition to the announcement of the release date, Square Enix has also laid out the details of two limited editions, the Collector’s Edition (below) and the Day One Edition.
The Collector’s edition has a steelbook case containing a game disk as well as a CD sampler soundtrack featuring 16 tracks. It’s worth noting that the game’s composer is Motoi Sakuraba, who is behind the music in the Dark Souls series, so the soundtrack alone is reason to purchase this edition. The Collector’s Edition also includes and 80-page hardcover art book, eight art cards featuring character illustrations, a Pangalactic Federation ID card, six extra battle music themes (from Valkirie Profile and its sequel, as well as previous Star Ocean titles), and a download code for a handful of in-game items that will help you on your quest (The Ring of Valkyries, Gold Bunny Statue, Bushybrume Cincture, Wristlet of the Stars, and Secret Sthalian Tome).

The Day One Edition features two background battle themes from Valkyrie Profile and Valkyrie Profile2: Silmeria. It also includes the download codes for the same in-game items as the Collector’s Edition.
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness is currently available for preorder, as are the two limited editions of the game. It will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
